Revera’s approach to our Virtual Data Centre (VDC) platform security is aligned with AS/NZS ISO/IEC 27001:2013.
All Revera services, including our VDCs, are subject to the Revera ITIL v3 IT Service Management framework. All changes to the physical infrastructure and logical environment, including security changes, are managed through Revera’s change management process. This includes notifying clients where required.
Our data centres meet essential physical security requirements specified in ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO/IEC 27002:2013. These are designed and located, to provide resilience and maintain operations in the event of reduced power, equipment failure, maintenance outages and natural disasters.
The data centres at Trentham, Takanini and Perimeter Road (Christchurch) are rated Tier 3, and the facility at Albany is rated Tier 2 (based on the Uptime Institute and TIA942 tier ratings) to ensure high levels of physical security, availability, and continuity.

Our platforms have levels of protection built into them through DDoS Mitigation, Network and Application Firewalls, IPS and IDS, Anti-Malware, Identity and Access controls and inventory, configuration and event monitoring and logging. Additionally, clients can select from a range of security services such as Network and Application Firewalls, Anti-Malware, Encryption, VPNs, and Multi-factor authentication to protect their workloads and data.
